3 Stars Not a big fan of this fan
I purchased this ceiling fan to install on a cathedral ceiling. I intentionally purchased a Hunter fan with their advertised AVT hanging design as they guarantee it not to wobble. I am disappointed because it does indeed wobble on the medium and high speeds. It does not wobble on the low speed.
The finish on the fan is stunning and the brushed nickel is the quality you would expect on a very expensive ceiling fan.
The fan takes 3 regular base light bulbs, up to 60 watts each.
My installation is on a typical angle on a cathedral ceiling, using a Hunter 24″ downrod. The installation is appropriate and done correctly, yet the fan wobbles, thus I cannot rate it higher than a plain old 3.
The AVT technology amounts to a triangular shaped mounting ball and hanger. It fits and works; it just doesn’t eliminate wobble. I am not sure if the downrod contributes to the wobble or not.

5 Stars Great fan! Easy to install and very quiet.
I’ve never bought a Hunter fan before, I have always bought more expensive brands. This is a great fan! Very quiet and easy to install. Hopefully it will last for years to come. The only thing I don’t like is that the fan direction switch moves horizontally and not vertically. With vertical you can visually see that the fan is pushing air down for summer or pulling up for winter months. I know this is nit picky, but that is all I don’t like. Great value!!

I purchased this fan for my living room. It’s now early spring and the fan has already paid for itself. In spite of several days when the temperature reached up to 90 degrees outside, this fan has kept us so cool, we haven’t had to turn on the central air conditioner yet. I bought a Hunter fan because I’ve never gotten a lemon with Hunter. This fan is whisper quiet, but moves a lot of air. A great fan at a great price!
